The 5E-MAC IV Proximate Analyzer (Thermogravimetric Analyzer, TGA) is used to determine the moisture, ash, volatile matter, and fixed carbon in coal and coke. It can also determine residual ash and slag combustibles in accordance with ASTM standards. Features

Proximate analysis (TGA) includes analysis of moisture content, ash content, volatile matter and the calculation of fixed carbon. Accurate results from proximate and ultimate analysis of coal, coke and biofuel are an important step in mining and processing operations.

Application

The 5E-MAG6700 Automatic Proximate Analyzer, equipped with the 5E-MVC6700 and a moisture & ash analyzer, is used to determine the moisture, ash, and volatile matter in coal, coke, biomass, limestone, iron ore, food, and feedstuffs by the thermogravimetric method. It can also determine residual ash and slag combustibles in accordance with ASTM standards. This analyzer is widely applied in power plants, coal mines, metallurgy, food industry, chemical industry, commercial inspection, scientific research, and education.
