PGNAA Robot System
The automated, field-based Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA) system, housed in a portable container, provides rapid analysis of bulk samples and geological cores containing copper (Cu), iron (Fe), coal, and other critical elements. By automatically analyzing the entire sample volume, PGNAA offers several advantages over techniques like X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). Unlike XRF and LIBS, which primarily analyze surface layers, PGNAA examines the full sample composition. It can also effectively analyze lighter elements, a challenge for XRF-based systems.
Features

- Reduced sample preparation time: Non-destructive analysis eliminates the need for complex sample preparation.
- Wide element range: Can analyze nearly 90% of the periodic table, surpassing other analytical methods.
- Comprehensive analysis: Analyzes the entire sample to provide the most accurate results.
- Minimized human error: Reduces risks and enhances safety in the work environment.
- Efficient data communication: Facilitates smooth interactions with stakeholders.
- Lower HR challenges: Less dependence on human labor.
- Cost and time efficiency: Saves resources while producing realistic results.
- Remote operation capability: Functions efficiently in both remote and static locations.
Applications:
The PGNAA Robot System is applied in industries such as:
- Coal
- Coking
- Cement plants
- Metal ore mining
- Non-metal resources
This technology addresses two key areas in the mining sector:
- Efficient Quality Control for Process Operations: Mining plants gain valuable insights into the composition of incoming ores, enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making. The ability to analyze bulk samples comprehensively contributes to better resource management and process optimization.
- Reliable and Efficient Exploration Field Operations: Produces realistic data for ore estimation across various mineral resources.
